Torch not expanding

When if first placed my torch coral it expanding fully, a few inches at least. Now it will only expand about 1 inch.

Two things have changed since it started to not expand as much.

I changed my lighting from a 65x4 PC to a 4x54 T5 (individual reflectors).

One of my pumps burned up in the tank and leaked oil into it. This killed several inverts, one fish, and a xenia. Everything looked terrible for about a week and now things are all turning back around.

My frogspawn has recovered fully and my hammer is almost back to normal but it does not have its color back.

Should I try to move the torch lower, could it be too much light? The hammer and frogspawn love it at the very bottom of my 55g.

MY purple mushrooms have also suffered since the pump incident, they are still shriveled up and lack their color. Although, they had only shrunk slightly from the light change.

Any thoughts, is it just a matter of time?

Id try to move it lower to see if that helps any. Did you adjust the corals to the new light, or did you just replace and keep the same light cycles?

I did not adjust the corals to the new lights. Everything responded well except for the torch and the purple mushrooms and yumas.

I probably should have adjusted. The tek light ended up being a crapton more of light than my 4x65 PC. I didnt imagine it would be this much more so I did not acclimate, which was a mistake.

This morning i moved the torch about 8 inches lower in the tank and it is responding a bit better.

As for the purple shrooms they were not only shocked by the new lights but the oil/epoxy from my CSS pump exploding in my tank. They are still shriveled up badly but still alive.

I hope they will come back to their full size. The problem is that I can not really move this rock. I do not know how to safely scrape them off to a better location, i fear this is too risky given their current condition.

Well the torch was in the same place before and after the light change. So it was either the light change or the shock from the oil leaking out of the pump.
