Torch vs Monti

So I got my new RW-8's the other day and the flow in my tank is much improved. So much so that my torch coral is extending about 30% longer tentacles now. Beautiful! Except that it is stinging the heck out of a red monti. I have just recently been able to keep SPS since I got new lights in November.
So what would you do?
1. Move the torch
2. Move the monti
3. Trim the monti back out of the way.
4. Let the monti decide how far it wants to recede.

My guess is that the monti will grow in the direction it wants. I would leave it and see how it turns out.

Id trim the monti and see what happens, at the mos move it. Then again, I love my euphyllia more than almost anything, so even though they're evil, they get first choice at location

trim/ break the piece that is directly in harms way off of rest of host, that way theres no reason for sudden tissue death or whatever the term for sps going bleachy, cant think of it at the moment. But theres a tie breaker

Thanks everyone.
I trimmed back the monti to prevent tissue necrosis and also move the torch a few inches further away.
So far so good.

What type of monti?
Basic red? Leave it.
Nicer monti/nice encrusting= the torch will continue to grow and sting it more. I'd move the torch
