I think the reason almost all companies go for the LED clusters is because everyone likes MH and they want to mimic the point sourced lighting effect that MH's offer. I personally do not think this is the way to go if you want more spread. What is the point of moving into the future of reef lighting if your going to just mimic the old way of doing things. I mean obviously it's for significantly lower electric bill and no more buying of bulbs. But when it's all said and done what worked for MH, point source lighting that is, probably isn't going to be the best way to go with LED's. I personal do consider clusters a drawback and I believe more and more companies are going to stray away from the clusters, except for those pendant people out there that really like that look, which isn't for me either.
Plus I have heard of bad reviews or problems with the razor i.e. to much of a purple hue for some and melting housing issues( not alot of melting happening but it has happened). The ReefBreeders on the other hand has a extremely large number of rave reviews on the product and customer service, which you don't see with razors anywhere near as often.
I personally went with the Photon32 and should be receiving it sometime in the next two weeks.
If you do decide on going RB I would suggest what was mentioned earlier, going with two smaller fixtures in a V shape for much better coverage than you would get with a single razor or photon. You could also just purchase one photon and use the adjustable hanging mounts to angle the light towards the back of the tank from the front to reduce shading in the back.
Either way you decide to go I would recommend putting some pics up and maybe a small review to help others decide on what to do themselves.
