Hi guys, got this tourch a couple of months ago and its been doing absolutely fine. Last week I returned from a short break away (about 4 days, had a friend call to turn lights on and feed etc) when I checked the tank all was well apart from the touch. The tentecals on each polyp seemed to be "short and fat" and two had shriveled up quite a lot. all water parameters are perfect and all other LPS are fine? During the past few days two of the heads are looking better but iv all most lost one and one more seems not so good? Any one know wats wrong? Is it a common issue with torches? Any help and advice would be great. Here's a pic 20140916_180612.jpg

I'm not sure if this is the case here, but you might want to look into Brown Jelly Disease/Syndrome.

Spot feed with reef frenzy or something like that for a few days and see if it persists. Maybe it was bothered by a shrimp or hermit.

I have three torches, basically all the same, two on one "rock" and one on a stand alone. The stand alone one gets huge and waves all over the place. One of the pair does pretty good most of the time but occasionally deflates. The other of the pair is as cranky as can be. I think I'm going to lose it half the time, mind you it is literally connected to the same tree like rock as the one doing fine. I cannot discern any difference why the three of them, which are within inches of one another in the tank, all behave so differently. I chalk it up to 'that's what torches do.'

I'd give it a few days to see it it recovers. I'm sure your friend did all s/he could to watch over the tank, but if you're like me there are a dozen different changes/things you do each day almost without realizing it (like slightly redirecting flow from pump; feeding a tad more or less based on your observation of tank; separating two corals that are feuding, etc. etc.) that may have a small but cumulatively significant effect on the animals in the tank. So IMO give it a few days before taking any significant remedial action.
