Our local reef club was thinking about having a club trip up to your Rhinelander WI facility to get a behind the scenes tour. I've heard that you do this for reef clubs. Is this true? If so can you please send me some info of someone to get in touch with so we can arrange this.

Thanks for your time.

Matt

Thanks for the fast response. Feel free to PM me with any info that you get back and who I need to get a hold of to schedule a date.

Thanks

Matt,
As Michelle stated, we do offer tours during our Annual Coral Conference and Frag Swap. This year’s event will be held on June 29, 30 and July 1, 2007, and registration open to guests starting on January 26. We hope that you and your club will join us for this year’s event. Although we are closed to the general public, we do from time to time, offer tours of our facility to Aquarium Societies and Clubs. Please feel free to contact me at kkohen@liveaquaria.com so that we can arrange a time for you and your club to visit. Thank you.

What about being able to buy the fabulous corals that we see? I remember the frag swap last year where we got to see so many neat things, but couldnt buy anything... Is it ever going to be possible to buy AT the farm?

Lol... I know you guys do this on a select basis, so how do I get 'in'?

Hahnmeister,

Thank you for your post. We will have a large variety of Aquacultured corals, Divers Den corals, and many other corals available for purchase at our Retail Store during our 2007 Coral Conference and Frag Swap.

Our LiveAquaria Director has this to say about purchasing corals directly from the tours, “One request we heard over and over again last year was to purchase corals and frags directly from our Aquaculture Facility raceways. As some of you know who attended in years past, it would be almost impossible to give everyone a fair shot at purchasing corals from the facility with the number of attendees. For this reason we have decided to do both an auction for some of the best corals we have in the facility, as well as submit numerous pieces to in the raffles that will be held on both Saturday and Sunday. We plan on donating 10% of the proceeds from the auction to MASNA (Marine Aquarium Societies of North America) in order to help them raise more funds for their scholarship program.”

We would encourage you to visit our Retail Store during the conference for a full variety of fish and corals.
