Trace minerals in fresh water

Hey, are any of these minerals detrimental to water quality? They're in my fresh water.

sodium bicarbonate, sodium chloride, magnesium sulfate.

Thanks!

Not detrimental, but there's likely far more than that, even including small traces of really undesirable things, and proportions being off. Standard practice is to use a ro/di filter to create zero minerals before adding salt mix.

That sounds exactly like whats added to bottled RO drinking water to improve the "taste" as without that people don't typically enjoy it..

Are you just reading off the bottle of water and buying bottled water?

If thats something your city water company claims to add there is more to it than that..

So, my super market has those rifilling stations, but in order to get those 5 gallon jugs I have to buy the bottle version first( which has those minerals in it).

I think i'm i'm just going to buy an ro/d1 system. I just now seeing how much of a pain it's going to be to make multiple trips to the supermarket will be.
