Trade you Colorful Corals for Browns

Hey Guys,

While my fish took a horrible hit last month, my corals have been doing really well this summer. And basically I have just too many.

And they have been growing so well, I have too many of what I already had so much of.

So I want to mix it up and get some different corals to grow out.

So let's trade... No Money, No Sales.

I have WWC Acros, ORA Jedi Mind, Grafted Monti, Leng Sy Purple Rim, Reef Tech Starburst and the o2manyfish AEFW Proof Purple & Turquoise stag - Just to name a few (well a few hundred).

I have from med/lrg frags up to 5"+ colonies.

So what's in this for you? Well I just want some different corals to play with. If they haven't done well in your system that doesn't scare me. I will trade you brown corals for colored corals. Frags, small chunks, small colonies.

If you have colorful corals I will trade you at least 2 to 1 if not 3 to 1. That means you bring me something colorful that I think is cool and I will give you 2 or 3 pieces of colorful SPS for your one piece.

Not looking for tiny little nubs - if you have seen my outdoor frag tank you know how hard it is to keep track of a tiny little piece.

And if your coral doesn't have some fancy name - If its just a Damn Brown Acro - I don't care - It's coral to me.

You can check out the frag tank at o2manfish.com/fragtank -- thats a live webcam on the frag tank.

I am in Encino and available during the days and evening for the next few days.

And Garrick Sun will be hanging out on Thursday afternoon if you want to hang out with more than just one coral addict.

As for the trades I am mainly SPS - LPS in the sunlight doesn't do so well. However if you have LPS or ZOAs I will trade -- On the LPS they have to be colored though - I don't have the ability to color up LPS corals.

If you have ugly or brown zoas to trade -- I will trade you for them - But I am going to give you lots of grief and shame -- But I am a man of my word and I will trade color for crap.

I have to say, last go around, some of the most spectacular colonies in my tank were unknown browns that I had bought on the cheep from people who had let their tank go slowly just to the brink of RTN. It takes several months with good flow preamiters and lighting but they seem to all come back. Good luck!

What time is Garrick coming down? I'll come down as well with some pieces I spoke to you about last week Dave. You can text me as well. Let me know

Rik,

Garrick is coming down around 1ish - And he is coming for corals and to teach me how to sharpen knives.

FHCichlid - I got your PM - All it says is "Hello" - Not sure what you want me to do with that.... If you want to trade corals send me a msg with a couple of times that would be convenient for you to come to Encino and a number to txt you back at and then we can figure out which time works best.

********* Also as an FYI -- At the start of spring I had a thread about banking corals and I disclosed that I had AEFW in my system. Since the power failure at the end of June that killed all the fish I have not found any AEFW. I don't know if it was low oxygen levels or high ammonia levels. But my Red Planet colony which has been a AEFW farm for the past 2.5+ years I have been basting weekly and not spotted anything. *****

Cool idea o2. We use to do this in our area when there was more interest and I got some really great starters from other reefers that just wanted to decorate my tank for me lol. The real benefit though was having those people as go to sources for info about the animals.
Not only did they help me save tons of money but also opened my eyes up to some knowledge that was only rivaled here.

I'm all the way on the "other" coast but my hats off to you!

Oh btw, in the end when I was moving and had to shut down my tank (90gal reef and fish) all the people that helped me got first dibs on all of my animals and equipment.

I didn't forget their generosity or help.

Don't know what you're all waiting for. This is a no lose. Just to see the system and tap into his knowledge is worth a trip. No gimmicks here.

Man, what kind of camera is on that thing? I can zoom in and see the patterns on the tangs, that's how clear it is. Amazing camera.

Hey Guys,

Still have plenty of corals to trade... Just hit me up and let's find a time for you to visit.

Jimbo both the webcams are Axis cameras. The one on the frag tank is an Axis 214.

And on the display tank is an Axis V5915 - The 5915 is supposed to be a state of the art broadcast quality HD camera - with a crazy zoom (down to the polyp level) but because of the high def I can't seem to get to it to stream as smoothly.
