I recently upgraded tanks and haven't transferred most of the fish yet. The new tank is cycled and has a couple damsels in it which means my 75g is now essentially a quarantine tank. That being said the 75g has pretty much everything in it. Including most of my live rock, inverts and some corals that grew on the live rock. The issue lies in that only one fish in the 75 has ever shown signs of ich, it is a very small blue surgeon (less then 1", im aware he will need a 200g+ by the time he is full grown ) who I know is especially susceptible to ich. I know ich can be in the live rock but what about the fish that have never shown signs of ich? Can i transfer them or are they probably still hosting without any signs? I'm just looking for a good way to start moving everything over while eradicating the disease and minimizing the fish stress.
Perhaps do I need to remove the damsels from the 120 then start to transfer the live rock over and let it just stay fishless for two months?
