I will be transferring my 2 month old Red Sea Max (crack in power control compartment) tank to my recently received replacement tank. I currently have live sand (20lbs), live rock (45lbs), a green star polyp, two zoa frags, hermit crabs and a few snails in the tank. The tank has cycled but currently is enduring a small diatom bloom on the sand bed. I have the following questions:

Will transferring the tank cause it to cycle again?
Will disturbing the sand bed cause problems?
Will the diatom bloom intensify because of the sand disturbace?
What are the best methods to transfer the tank?

Will transferring the tank cause it to cycle again? - New tank cycled yet?
Will disturbing the sand bed cause problems?-Yes
Will the diatom bloom intensify because of the sand disturbace?-??? in new tank or old?
What are the best methods to transfer the tank?-The Q is, is the new tank set-up/cycled yet? If yes, then do as you would with any new purchase (skip QT part), acclimate and puth then in.

Will transferring the tank cause it to cycle again? - you may see a mini cycle depending on how long you keep the LR out of the water.

Will disturbing the sand bed cause problems? - on a 2 month old sand bed you shouldn't have a problem with reusing it.

Will the diatom bloom intensify because of the sand disturbace? - same as the question before. you will still get your normal algae blooms. just keep your nitrates and phosphates low and use rodi water and that will help them go away faster.
