I posted this in the newbie's thread but maybe this would have been a better place. (Considering I do not see it in the thread anyways)
I have a ring tail tang that has ich, the spots showed up this morning. I am new the hobby and despite having many tangs, this is my first bout of ich.
He was placed in a new tank that just finished cycling. He was fine when we was the only fish in there and this ick only showed up after I added a second fish (which he was familiar with).
I do have a blue hippo and a sailfin that were on deck to be moved to that tank next. My blue hippo and sailfin have not had ick before so I am not sure if I should keep them out of the tank until I have cured the new tank of ick, or place them all in and make them go through the regiment of the treatment? I just would hate to just try and treat the larger tank now, think that its gone, put my blue hippo in, and she get it and go through the whole process again.
However, I am new.. you guys tell me.
