Treat new tank with Paraguard

Hi everyone

I have a new 180 and have seeded it with live rock from a couple of different sources. It should finish its cycle soon. Before putting anything in the tank could I treat it with paraguard for a period of time? I would think there are some small invertebrates that will die off but the benefit being a tank that should be free of ich! Thoughts?

No, I don't recommend during that. Best thing for you to do if you are worried of any parasites, let the tank go fallow for 72 days. During this time, you can start putting your fish through the quarantine process
