treating bacteria infection question

Hi,
Is it possible to treat gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria in the same time?
I've just started with a first dose of triple sulfa, but I've read that sulfa treatment target gram-positive types.
According to Moe's book, gram negative infections are most common. I was thinking to start erythromicin treatment.
I have three options:
- do both treatments in parallel
- continue with sulfa for 3 more days (just had one day treatment) and decide based on the results
- stop sulfa and switch to gram-negative treatment

I would appreciate any suggestion, my fish stopped eating since moving it to QT two days ago and I am really worried.
TIA

Furan-2 made by Api. This is what I keep on hand for gram positive
and negative (treats both at the same time. :)

Thanks, I did not see that while I was emergency shopping at the closest LFS, even though most of the stuff they have is API (but again, that store focuses more on tropical fish). I'll order online some Furan-2 just to have it around next time.

As for an update, today I continued the sulfa treatment, this time I put the whole dose in the tank (yesterday I've used only half).
The fish seems a bit more comfortable, even pecked a few times at the mysis floating around him. I seem to be the only one minding the smell of the sulfa water :fun4:

some info on furan 2

Contains two furan compounds to combat a wide variety of gram-positive & gram-negative bacterial diseases, including bacterial gill disease, open red sores (Aeromonas spp.), body slime & eye cloud, black molly disease (Flavobacterium columnaris) and fin & tail rot. For use in both freshwater and saltwater aquariums. This medication will not harm the biological filter. Note: This medication will cause a slight discoloration of water which can be removed with activated carbon.
