Treating cloudy eye angel

Thanks to everyone who helped me out last night. My angel is still active, and breathing normal, and I picked up a lot of things to help with the cloudy eye:

-Mylafix
-Penicillian (drops they eat)

and I managed to 'free up' a tank to treat him. I had tiger barbs in a 15g tank, and I gave the barbs to my brother (a responsible freshwater keeper!), and cleaned out the tank. It's currently got its filter running (carbon removed), and I'm working right now on getting the pH and sg correct.

So from this point, what do you suggest? Catching him will be tough, but I've read things both FOR and AGAINST using mylafix in a tank. I do not have any corals - and my inverts include a cleaner shrimp, sally lightfoot crab, nudibranch and fighting conch.

Also, since I've never observed the angel eating, I'm hesitant about adding the drops to the tank. I'm afraid that other fish will eat them before he even sees them.

Once the hospital tank is all set (hopefully within the hour), I'll move him if that seems to be the best course of action. I've never treated a sick fish before, and obviously since it doesn't seem to be ich, and cloudy eye doesn't seem to be as severe, if I can do it in the main tank, I'd love to. I'm just afraid of the stress from going from bag to main to hospital to main in such a weird period of time. I definately learned from my mistake this time.

Any last words of wisdom before I give this a shot would be greatly appreciated. You guys are the best.

You might want to use anti-ammonia drops in the QT water when using peniciillan.

You also want hefty daily water changes in the QT. I usually use tank water, so I also catch up on tank water changes.

Also, be careful after you stop penicillin. I had a gray angel die at this point, so I was thinking that next time I'll do a 100% water change after cleaning and rinsing the QT tank to quickly reestablish a bio-filter.

Hmm - after you stop? In general you mean? Like once the meds are done, move him out and thouroughly clean the QT for the next 'patient'? Did your angel die in the main tank, or was he the next QT fish?

And I'm not 100% sure I'll even use the penicillin. I could just use the mylafix if that's going to do the trick. I just wanted to have things on hand to try.

Here's a TERRIBLE picture, incase anyone thinks they may have an idea before treating. I played with the contrast so you can see - it's JUST on this eye, and it's a general haze (it has very light iris' anyways...not sure if Im describing that right, but from pics of healthy ones Ive seen, it looks normal), its just a grey/cloudy streak - almost like its on top of the cornea. You can see in this picture where it just streaks across.

He died in the QT after I stopped the penicillin. I think his infection came back with a vengeance, but it could have been stress from a lack of bio filter.

i have had good luck with the junle products, they arent too heavy of a rug, and they are also safe to use with all othe jungle brand medications.... so when i first get fish, i put them in my quarantine for 24 hours then i add the parasite clear and the fungus clear.... i have had a bad problem of my fish gettin internal parasite, and with getting fungus, and this way i figure i knock both of them out.... just thought i would share...

Just so you're aware.
Sometimes a cloudy eye can be the result of a fluke infestation.
A freshwater dip would have left some dead ones in the bottom of the container if this was the case.
