Treating Flat worms.. help?

I will be treating my tank for flat worms with Saliferts flatworm exit. I've been removing as many as possible with a turkey baster. And I know that the dying/dead flatworms will kill your tank. So I plan on doing major water changes. But my biggest question for those of you who have treated your tanks before: How long do you treat your tank before you start doing water changes and adding carbon? I want to make sure and kill them all but at the same time I don't want to kill my entire tank either. Any help/suggestions?

That information should come with the Flatworm Exit.

Just read and follow the directions...you'll do fine.

The instructions were actually good, I never really thought there'd be much if any info with the product. I ended up syphoning every one I could find though a filter sock down to the sump before I treated the tank... and there were still a ton of them floating around that I had to get out when I did finally treat the tank. I doubled the dose hoping that this will be the only time I have to do this, everything was probably dead within 5 minutes but I left it for 20 before adding carbon and starting a water change. The tank looks fine now, but I guess I'll see when tommorw.. which I plan on doing another 25% change just for the sake of it.

I treated mine by increasing the flow in the tank... not a single one in site now. Anthony Calfo recommended this awhile back.

Like Clark said, even after the first killing, there are always more requiring a second or third dosing. Several treatments every few days will probably do you more good that one massive treatment if your goal is to irradicate the little guys.
