Treatments for brooklynella

So far I have read doing a 15 minute freshwater dip will remove the parasite however this sounds like it would be very stressful for a clownfish. I have also read treating the fish in a QT with Formalin will do it. If I go with the Formalin how long will it take before the fish is brook-free? Also is there anything I should know about my aquarium itself? Does it need to be treated as well? Is there a certain amount of time it needs to remain fish-free in order to prevent recontamination?

Freshwater dips are not recommended for Brook[ and 15 minutes is too long]....I only recommend using formalin in dips..its very toxic and will kill your biological filtration. Dips are the way to go
