Trick to Candy Apple Reds?

Ian

I <3 Corals!
I've never had long term success with these guys. Every time I get them they mely in a matter of a month or 2.

I just got a new frag and I'd like to have success with these ones, does anyone know what these guys like as far as light/flow/parameters?

Mine are 20" deep in my 180 under the lights and pumps in my sig. I would say medium flow and not really spreading. But happy nonetheless.

i grew this from 4 polyps...i got it as bleached and never thought as candy apple reds,i even thought i got a killer rainbow paly...it was pink skirts white skin, pink rim orange circle and greenish mouth...after months in my tank voila candy apple reds..:D
this pic is under 14k phoenix 250w with 4x54w t5.. 10 inches above the light...really getting blasted...

i have candy apple reds in the bottom of tank too...
mine gets just enough flow....they eat just about anything..flakes,mysis,cyclopeeze...

i have experienced 2 polyps just slowly melted with no reasons...what i did is i cut off the polyps leaving the base/mat..then the mat regrow and gave 4 small polyps,u can see them in the first pic,the small polyps on the top:)
