Tridacna crocea

I bought a Tridacna crocea clam three weeks ago and placed it in the sand of my 125. I just changed my T5 bulbs,(ATI/UVL) so I'm hope lighting is not a big issue. The mantle appears to be opened well and the blue colors are readily apparent. I noticed it bourroughing into the sand and I 've read in a few places it likes to be placed on live rock. Can I move it now that it's in the sand for the last 2-3 weeks? Raising it up may help with more intense lighting but I don't want to hurt the byssal muscle. Can I just place it on a rock higher in the tank? Do I need to secure it or will that happen naturally?

Thanks

If the clam isnt attached (which is likely if its in the sand), then moving it should not be that much of an issue. I'd go ahead and try to get it higher in the rocks, but if it's attached to something in the tank (maybe the glass), take your time when moving it. There are some tricks to getting it removed when holding fast.
