Just bought 2 derasa clams today and have a question regarding placement. They are both on the sand but pretty close to my hammer coral --- is this a good idea? Will the hammer try to "eat" or sting the clams? Thanks.
can it touch the mantle or just the shell? regardless, it may not hurt the mantle. if you see retraction, move the clam, or derasas will move themselves. remember, derasas open wider than maxis or croceas. and they grow faster.
