Tridacna X fire worm

a friend bought a Tridacna, after taking some photos she turned off the lights and then food was some coral, and saw a fire worm coming from within Tridacna, when she told me I thought that cutting out the side of Tridacna, but it to see clearly out of it inside, you had already seen it?
Tridacna and is the perfect opening normally.

Im not sure what most of that ment, but that is a common bristle worm, they are beneficial scavengers, but some will bother inverts when they get bigger. You could get an arrow crab if your tanks big enough. They feed on bristleworms.

Where did the worm come out of,

Along the side inbetween mantle and shell?

Or just crawling around the scutes?

Or out of the inhalant or exhalant?? -------- Which would be very bad i would suspect, but i would also image it to look very dead if that happened.
 
I have seen bristle worms enter in and out on a very rare occasion, but the really odd ones are when Clowns decide to host in the opening of the larger clams!
