Trigger shrimp?

I just noticed a clicking sound from by small tank(1 foot cube). The tank has a spearer mantis shrimp in it so I thought it was a bit odd having those sounds.

I had just placed a new live rock in it so I was watching it closely to see what else could have been making that sound. I was secretly hoping for a tiny smasher...

So anyways, I noticed something popping in and out of a small cavity in the LR and at first thought it was a worm. It turns out to be a shrimp about 1.5cm or so in length(haven't seen the whole thing out of the hole). It has grey claws with white tips and one is larger than the other.

It will position both claws on the edge of the hole and then lean its body out so its smaller legs can reach whatever bait I place out. unfortunately, it darts back in when I try to photograph it.

Could this be a pistol shrimp?

Probably. Most reefers only think of pistol shrimp as sand bed occupants that partner with gobies but many species are free living in rock.
