trigger skin sheading?

Hi everyone- I have had a red tail trigger in my tank that has started developing a white like area on the top of his head between his eyes. It almost looked like he was loosing scales ( i know they develop into a new color when they are older) so I didnt worry about it. Today, he has the same looking area on the right side of his body behind his mouth and under the eye. I will get a picture when I dont spook him coming up to the tank.

Should I be worried about him? I dont know if he is loosing his scales or if its some type of disease that I should be worried about. I tried searching the forums but couldnt find anything like it. Hes in the tank with a clown fairy wrasse and a hippo tang both of which are healthy.

When was he acquired? Was he quarantined? Did he come from a source that runs a low level of copper?

had him for about two weeks now. he came from petco where he was in a frag tank for a few days. i did not QT him since he was a larger fish and my QT tank is only a 10 gal. I know probably wasnt the best idea.

better pic

Does he have an appetite?
Triggers tend to wedge themselves not tight areas. Are there any other fish in the tank?

i will i also ordered metro+ online incase i need to QT him. do you think it could be from him wedgind himself in between rocks at night? seems that might be how the first mark on the top of his head started. he is super good at hiding at night. :debi:

update: overnight shipping didnt work- med coming tomorrow. trigger is leaning against the rock in the sand not moving much. hopefullt the meds come in time tomorrow.

Is there anything in the meantime I can do?? I have a QT tank but no medicine hence why i ordered overnight shipping.

Please help!
