Anyone currently using Trigger Sys's Emerald 39 sump? can you post of a picture of how you have plumbed the drains?

I am interested in the sump but my major concern is that from the pics online i see 3 drain holes clumped up together to form a triangle vs them being in a straight line.

My 3 overflow holes are in a straight line (not my actual overflow sample image for representation purposes only)

I have it and yeah found them to be a bit cramped. I have a bean animal so I used the two hole plate rather than the three and ran the open channel in to the sump area. I actually like this better anyway because now I can hear when the open channel is running. So it all worked out well in the end.

It really is a great sump overall though I am very happy with it.

Yeah i will be trying to run a bean animal too. thanks for the recommendation. Will check it out. if you get a chance, can you post a pic of that?

No real negatives...what really sold me is I like where the filter socks are located on left without any obstruction from the skimmer or other equipment. Ability to swap out the socks completely for a filter plate is also a nice option. For now I am running the 3 mesh socks. It has a nice lid which helps to contain any splashing as well. Each chamber has plenty of space. The probe holders work well for my apex along with the 1/4 inch tubing holes for ATO.

I just have live rock rubble in the fuge section but will probably put some chaeto in there eventually. Tons of space.

I also like the ability to adjust the water level which is helpful depending on your skimmer. You don't need to build platforms to raise your skimmer or anything like that.

Zero microbubbles get back into the tank.

Finally - aesthetics are important to me under the tank with my equipment as well and it just flat out looks cool with the green finish and clean lines all around. Its very well built and sturdy unlike some cheaper acrylic sumps I have had in the past.

The only other model I seriously considered was the reef synergy line of sumps. Only thing about those is they didn't have the refugium chamber and I wanted that flexibility down the line.

thanks man. Yeah I am not doing a refugium but need a spot to put my reactors in. or atleast a section where i can put something else down the line.

have had my eye on these sumps but the thing that has me wary is the price. kinda steep.

They will custom make one for you also. I needed a specialty size and they did it for me. It is my first sump so I have no comparison. I like it. And the first one arrived broken. I sent them photos of the break and they made a new one and set it to me.
