Question, could I just QT him(niger) and leave the clowns and butterfly in the DT? they are doing so well id hate to mix it up for them.

You could do that, yes. Whatever is effecting the fish needs to be taken care of. It's really hard to tell what it is though... hopefully it isnt something the other fish can carry.

If it was me, I'd get the Niger into QT and do daily FW dips for 3-4 days at least and see if he improves at all.
