trigger/wrasse

hey guys, Im just setting up my 75g FOWLR tank and was wondering if I could keep a huma huma trigger, and a lunar wrasse together?

I have a Huma and a Yellow Canary Wrasse. The trigger has never bothered it.

i would be more concerned with the warsse bothering the trigger. i had a large male sunset wrasse about 10" that has killed several fish from groupers to yellow tangs and almost killed my 3" humu before i removed him from the tank. if you are going to get the wrasse get a small one to start with. the wrasse's in this genus are extremely aggressive. another thing to condider is that both of these fish will eventually grow out of a 75g, assuming you are starting with juvies.

I have a 4 inch humuhumu and an 7inch klunzinger in a 75. They've been doing great together for over 3 years, but are now anxious to get into the 180 on the other side of the room

I love my wrasse...just watch out...they eat snails, crabs, & shrimps.

I had an 8" Lunare Wrasse amd a 4" Huma Huma Trigger in my 180 FOWLR with any agressions.....

Huma Triggers, like most Triggers, don't get real nasty till they get bigger. I would think a 75 gallon is too small for either of these fish anyway, much less both of them.

After 3 years your Huma is only 4in? I'd heard they grow slow, but i didn't realize it was that slow.

I think his growth has been stunted due to environmental factors. He was supposed to go into a 180 1 year after I bought him, but it took 2 more years to get the larger tank. I no longer purchase fish unless they can live their entire life in the tanks I currently have. Live and learn.

Hmm ok. Still, if anyone else has a Huma can you comment on their growth rate? I'm just curious.

i have a humu, started at about 2" 6 mos ago and now is almost 5". he is in a 125.
