Have had a niger trigger fish in my 125 mix reef tank for past 5 years with no problems, but however i put a new lite fixture on last weekend and now it has became very aggressive and has beat the fins off my clown..
Any ideas of why. cant realy belive a lill more lite has caused this.. or is it just a trigger thing??

IMO, it is just a trigger thing. Lights should have no effect.

Yeah, all those cute little Nigers & Humas at every LFS really do turn into real triggers and most triggers are aggressive fish. Those big red teeth aren't for scraping algae. I think you can expect him to get more "triggerish" and start eating most inverts at any time. (I love Nigers, in the right tank. My Niger would eat a 3" clown in a heartbeat.)

I agree with above. Either that, or the better lighting made it easier for you to see aggression that was already there.
