Trouble w/Christmas

Does anyone have trouble with Chrismas type (red and Green) Favias, seems to be the only one I have problems with. Evantually the skeleton starts to show.
Where is it best kept, I thought mid tank. I have 175s MH/T5 combo

Alk, PH and cal all are fine

I keep mine at the bottom of my 75 under 2 150w 14k Phoenix.Its doing well,& growing fast.I feed it 3 x a week.

Mine is near the bottom of my tank, shaded by corals. It does well, but not a fast grower (though I never feed it, so that probably doesn't help ) Very potent sweepers.
