Trouble with new Wavebox 6208

I've been fiddling with it for hours, but I'm having a lot of trouble getting anything resembling a wave.

I think the problem is that the pump is starting in reverse, then clunking and restarting about 50% of the time.

I've taken the whole thing apart, cleaned it, and put it back together several times, but that doesn't seem to be helping. I've never had this problem with my 6095 or 6105.

Is there anything I can do to fix it, or should I be contacting Tunze NA for a replacement pump?

It should be virtually impossible for the pump to run in reverse.

I would check the following-

1) Open the 6208 and make sure the pump is assembled, it is very common for the pump to open up in shipping so the front housing is not on the pump. This will cause stopping and clatter.

2) Make sure about 3/4" of the wavebox is above the water level. To work, it needs to take in air.

3) Make sure the power supply is at 24V, they are delivered at 20V, 24V will give the biggest wave, you need to change the jumper to 24V.

4) Use the auto tune feature to find the correct frequency and keep in mind there is only one that will give a wave, this is not something you can adjust to suit you, it is a specific frequency relative to tank size and layout. When you hit it right, you will get one wave where the top of the tank looks like a see saw.

Thanks, I'll give those steps a try this evening and report back. I already tried taking the pump apart and putting it back together, but I'll try again.

If it is still doing it, I'll try to record a video.

Thank you for your suggestions, some troubleshooting helped me find the issue. I did some experimenting, and found that the pump worked perfectly fine when it was removed from the wavebox, but encountered the same issue whenever it was in the wavebox.

It seems that the front housing was slightly damaged in shipping, such that it is loose near the top of the pump, and the small amount of extra pressure put on the housing by the wavebox is enough to cause it to warp, and partially open up.

How can I go about getting a replacement cover sent to me?
