Troubles with WC Onyx

Picked up a nice looking pair locally but they appeared to have brooks, so I immediately started with 30-45 minute Formalyn baths followed by a quick fresh water dip. The FW dip was based on observation and usually only a few minutes. I have done this all 2 x and the male looks great, eating, and also started hosting the anemone last night. The female however has her top fin down most of the time, is not eating allthough she chases the food and sometimes tastes it. Feeding a mix of frozen mysis and vitamin enriched brine plus soaked in 3-4 drops of garlic extreme for 20 minutes. One of her fins appears to be flaking or peeling, as was both of the fishes whole bodies a few days ago. Just not sure where to go from here. They are still in QT, but not being treated with Copper or anything other than stated above. Should I move them into the Hospital and hit them with some copper and then cupramine? Or just give them a 3rd dip and hope for the best? It seems to me the dips may be stressing her out, as she went belly up in the FW dip last time after 5 seconds. Breathing very hard most of yesterday but not so hard today.

Thanks for reading, and your advice would hate to lose these fine specimens.

If it were me, I would do the bath and dip one more time. Make sure that the FW dip is the same temp as the bath and that you add some buffer to the FW dip to make sure the pH is the same. Sometimes I give the clowns a little "chase" in the FW dip if they sort of freeze up. That usually gets them going and they are able to take the rest of the dip, but not always.

so the fins flaking is just normal part of treatment? Just one did it the other didnt. Thats exactly what I did, buffer, chasing the fish to keep them moving. Been 3 days since she ate well, so the dips and being caught are really wearing her down IMO. I do have some hope though she is chasing the male around pretty good so must be feeling a little better. Will do the next dip tomorrow and hopefully be done with it.

just a little update, the one fin that was the worst has now mostly fallen off to a little stub. The only thing that changed was I moved a cleaner shrimp in for the day to give them both a good check over.
