i have a false and true percula in my 20 gal long tank and they both used to host my BTA but now the true stopped and started hosting my hammer coral and xenia. has this ever happened to any of you guys, any idea why my true would all of the sudden stop????

the just like the coral better. I dont think there is any 'reason' for it.

My maroon will go back and forth between two anemones in the tank.. and they are on opposite sides of the tank. I think its just how hes feeling that day.

I had a clown once that wouldnt host ANYTHING and then when he outgrew my tank and I sold him he hosted the new owners powerhead.

They will go where they are happiest :)

has the bta gotten smaller, or have the tentacles gotten shorter or something? BTa's arent natural hosts for percs, but LTAs are. Maybe they liked the 'tentacles' of the hammer better. Maybe it feels more instinctive to them.

I wouldnt be worried. If they get real aggressive in the hammer they could damage it, so keep an eye out.
