True Perc Questions

I recently added a pair of true percs into my tank and they have decided to host my metalic hammer...Question is this bad. I heard that the true percs might get too rough with it and kill it? Has anyone had expierience with this?
Here's a pic of them they are so cool!!!!

I hope everything gets along. So far everything seems to be fine

Also if they where to mate how long does it generally take? And what are some signs of this?

i wouldnt suggest them host it...mines host a combination of frogspawns and they seem to rub so hard that they get cut....its all up to you though

I dont mind as long as everything gets along I just didnt know that it might be a problem....

How would I get them to stop hosting it?

Mine host my frogspawn when their RBTA closes up. They don't do any harm to it. Just watch them and make sure they don't get too rough. As for making them stop hosting, either give them something better to host or remove the clowns. They are going to host what they want, no real way to stop them.
