True percs and BTA

I knew the BTA wasn't the natural host for true percula clowns but with only a 14g I didn't have many options. They showed no interest for the past two weeks until today, I played YouTube videos of clowns hosting anemones on my iPhone and placed it against the glass of the aquarium (wife thought I was nuts lol) within minutes they dove right in. Not saying it'll work for everyone but it did for me, crazy lol.

Well, worth a try. I've had a few BTAs in the last 2 years but my clowns just ignored the BTAs. I'm willing to try new ideas.

Yea I'm still shocked it worked lol. I've herd people taping pics to the side of the tank but never a video and surprisingly it worked. Also helped that my tank is small so I was able to follow them with my phone.

I have heard this works but never actually tried it. I always used the collider trick it works every time.

OMG, I played a video on my ipad over and over for 2 hours last night. I moved it around until the clowns swam near my new BTA. After 30 min or so one began touching the bta on the side of its body. After an hour it went in between the tentacles for a brief moment. The other one, the bigger clown, just touched it with the body.

Well this AM. The bigger clown was hanging in the BTA! So this method really does work!!! Amazing method, they've not shown any interest in over a year! Thank you!

So the video actually worked for me too!!! ALTHOUGH is caused them to host with my small frogspawn and NOT the big *** LTA. I swear, these damn clownfish. Haha. Hey, I guess I'll take what I can get

Probably would have had more luck with a BTA since I haven't seen many occelaris or perculas accept a LTA, but hey at least it's hosting something lol.
