True Perculas like RBTA's....

My pair of percs live and spawn in a GBTA.

Percs and ocellaris are just about the most difficult clowns to get to live in an anemone that they don't live with in nature. 99% of the "how can I get my clown to go into its anemone" questions are asking about percs or ocellaris. Some go right in, some take more time. I had an ocellaris pair that went for over a year before they accepted their GBTA.

FWIW: IME, the bigger the BTA, the better chance you have of your percs accepting it.

Thanks for the info. That's probably what I need... to wait. I have two True Percs (not exactly a pair yet) and neither of them notice my BTA which I've had for a month.

I hope pretty soon they'll notice it?

I asked the same questions about a Sebae I used to have. I had several replies similar to those above. However, one person suggested placing both clowns and the nem in a smaller container within the tank. Thus, encouraging the contact etc... I did not do this and the clowns simply chose to sleep in the Nem within a few weeks. Not sure about the container thing as I have also heard about Nems eating clowns if they are not introduced slowly.

i dont think the container thing will help. i tried lock them up with the anemone and use food to lead them into the anemone. they will move in whenever they are ready.

IMO size of the nem helps the bigger the better i have two BTA's one 4" one that i started off with a year and no hosting so i got a larger one 12" within a week they were in (i have true percs)
