True unions

I went down to a local small ahrware store and found that they carry true unions if anyone is interesed the next time they plumb a tank. The prices are similar to that of the states too. For those who don't know what a true union is, it is a small piece that connects two pieces of hard PVC pipe that can be disconnected by unscrewing the two pieces. The peice itself unscrews so you don't need to twist of the pipe it's connected to. This is especially helpful when performing the much needed maintenence on pumps because you never have to cut or modify the hard PVC to get your pump off. here is a pic of what they look like.

I was quite happy when I found them. FIrst time I have seen them in Okinawa. I was goining to order tehm for the 75 but no need to do that now. The shop has 1/2, 3/4 and 1". I am sure they can get other sizes as well.
