Try this again-My 600 gallon tank build

The tank is looking great! If you day job every goes south, it looks like you'll have acrylic tank building to fall back on.

And I don't disagree you one bit about removing the picture. I've almost posted the kids with the tank several times and always feel too uneasy to do it. Which is a terrible statement about our world and, a real shame given the fact that probably 99.9999% of those posting on RC are here for the same reasons, to learn and share within this hobby. It's the 0.0001% you have to protect your kids from... I digress, real nice tank.

I missed your post James. No the only way I would trade or sell this one would be for a 10 ft tank. How is your comming along?

Im getting the itch to get started on it. I bought 4- 60 gallon tanks today to make a Quarantine/prop tanks setup in the fish room. They measure 96"x11"x14" roughly,I plan on installing them one on top of each other on the back wall.Pretty cool, bought them from a closed fish store.Im ready to get this thing going soon so I can get it over with.Looks like you making plenty of progress, looking good! If you need help getting that monster on the stand LMK.

hi,,how did you cut the hold out nice like that??and how did you glue panal together?? pin mental?? please post more and more picture please thanks

To be honest, I havent touched the tank. It is still in the garage exactly like the picture above. I have been busy with another project lately. Maybe I will get the other two holes cut and the bottom glued up in the next couple of weeks or sooner.

I had a little time to work on the tank and I got the overflow box glued. When it drys I will go ahead and drill the overflow holes and then run the flush trim bit over the joints for a nice flush finish.

I have to give you great props, I don't think I would ever have the nerve to try something like this. Can't wait to see updates.

H20ENG- That one has an 18 inch tall reaction chamber. The one for this tank will have a 32 inch tall reaction chamber, unless I can get a hold of some 18 inch dia tubing.

Harleyguy-I worried when I built my 500 the first time I filled it. I am not really worried with this tank.
