Trying out a fish trap

Well, it's about time I get rid of my Starry Blenny. He is just about too big for my 30 gallon, and I want to get something a little smaller, like maybe a tailspot blenny or a lawnmower blenny. There is no way I would be able to get him with a net without removing all the rocks, so I figured I would try out a makeshift trap with an apple juice bottle.

Right now the Blenny, as well as all the other fish, are geting used to the trap and getting up close but not going in. Hopefully he gets hungry enough...

Hopefully I will be able to post a picture of him inside the trap in a little bit :D

Well the Blenny is about 6" and pretty big around so he can just barely fit. I caught my Redline Wrasse, and all 3 of my Chromis, and they couldn't find their way out. Just gotta wait for the blenny to get hungry.

I am trying to get a wrasse out of my full 120 tank and I did the powerade bottle thing. Not one fish is going near that thing. Are my fish that smart? I've tried it on several occasions and they don't go for it at all after leaving it in there with food inside for several hours at a time. Any ideas? I might just try a small hook but my wrasse is a sneaky eater and I will probably hook an innocent fish.

^ leave it in there for several days before you try to actually use it. They're just afraid of the unknown/unfamiliar.
