Try again on the pic of the zoas from Doug. Very interested to see what they look like, can't tell from pic. Have you tried a tripod yet? Also, killing the powerheads/flow in the tank may help. With high flow, camera may mistakingly focus on a piece of debris or airbubbles that are flying by and repeatedly screw up your focus of the intended subject.

I'll try for a better pic tommorow or Tuesday. Looking for a frag? Those pink speckles come out under my actinics.

Try manual focus and changing your f stop (I don't remeber which way) will increase your depth of field to get them all in focus.

Yeah I'm in the same boat as you. Pretty much all of my zoas are frags. Waitin' for 'em to grow some more so that I could do some trading. Any ideas on how to get them to grow faster. I've heard that adding Lugol's to the tank will help speed up growth, but unfortunately it is a double-edged sword in that it will also cause algae growth to speed up if you have PO4 or NO3 problems. Trying to figure out what levels of Ca+, Alk, and Mg2+ that they will really thrive in

Mine were doing somewhat poorly for a long while--lost entire colonies. Now some of them are coming back & others are multiplying. I'm not doing anything different... Actually my PC bulbs are gettign really old. The zoas are stretching. I was hoping to upgrade in June, so didn't want to bother getting new bulbs for a light I was just gonna sell. Got a great deal on bulbs, so putting them in hopefully tomorrow.
