Trying to attach coral to a shell?

I got a little starter coral that keeps flying around my tank and trying to get it to stay still..

Buddy of mine told me to glue it with a special type of glue but he didn't know which exactly

Anything you all recommend and instructions?

Any super glue will work. I find the gel type works best. You don't need anything special, I get mine from the dollar store.

You sure? Someone mentioned it has to be a special type of chemical in the glue that works best

Cyanoacrylate is the glue you're looking for. Holding it to a plug or rock with a rubber band may also work, depending on the coral.

It's easiest to take the rock and the coral out of the tank and glue it, then put it in the water where there is no flow for a bit. The water sets the glue almost instantly. The other way is to take the coral out, slather it up and then put it on the rock which is still in the water. In this case you will have to squish it down to break the skin that has already cured from hitting the water, and hold it in place for a couple minutes. Either way works. The glue is reef safe, so it's not a huge concern, as long as it's staying upright.

I find it easier to put a little glue dip it in water do a little more glue dip it in water and one last time with the glue and dip it in water. Then I put my frag on as it stays in what ever I am glueing usually. Some time one or twice does fine. Depends on the glue. It seems like the thinner glues this works best for me.
