Anybody know the name of the red algae I have?

Can you get a picture of it closer up? From what you posted it looks like Halymenia. Is the texture "rubbery"?

I think it is red gracillia, if your tangs eat it, then it probably is.:beer:

I will get a better pic of it tonight guys. Thank you for the help. ReeferBill I do not have any tangs bc my tank is to small. Its only a 72BF, I wont get tangs until I get a 6' tank.
