Trying to ID long white string on glass - anyone

This may be dumb, and I have been out of the hobby for some time. I just finished my cycle and begin running my new lights on a 25G nano tank.
Added my CUC about 2 weeks ago. Dealing with my first hair algae bloom which I will show below. Assuming if I just turn off the lights for a few days that will clear up after I get my phosphates in check- I had a bad water change that had some high TDS readings from a LFS. As many know, not all LFS are created equal.

Any ways, I have two of these- one in the back, and this new one today that is up front. Can someone tell me what it is?

Here are two pics of my hair algae bloom, always a good time . I'm not going to add any live stock until this gets cleaned up, and not going to get more cleaners for an obvious problem with chemistry.

Yup. Check your heaters, my snails lay eggs when I don't keep the temp stable. Like this time of year when I open all the windows after a winter with the heat running.

Have you checked to see what those fern looking things are on your rock (last picture)? That would be very concerning to me.
