Trying to Return to Hobbie

Hello everyone,

I been searching for equipment to try to return to the hobby, I was in it for about 5yrs, then left for about 10yrs, try to comeback about 2 years ago but was unable due to lack of time. now I think I can try it again.

originally there was a member here that sold me an AWESOME set up, it was a NEW 40g Breeder w/overflow with a Custom tall Stand and it had a light bar. I cannot seem to find his information (if I remember correctly his name was Mario), he lived in SF near the Mission. I wonder if anyone seen the setup I am referring to. I want a similar setup or at least the stand and I can drill a new tank myself. I will try to find pictures of the stand.

once I find a nice tank (affordably) I can then begin to search for other equipment that I will need.

FYI, Petco has 40 gallon breeders on sale with their dollar a gallon sale. The tank you are looking for is $40. Cant get any cheaper than that. That is if you have a Petco near you.

Petco carries both. Just depends on what their pushing this week.

I have a regular 40 I got at petco a couple months back that is aqueon. With that said, the employee did tell me they are switching all together. Once the stock of aqueon run out, it will be all tetra.

Not sure why the big deal though? A cheap glass box is a cheap glass box. As long as the seems hold, who cares who makes it?

40b are no longer a dollar a gallon at the dollar a gallon sale those are 50% off, still a great price for a 40b tank.

down in south FLA they still have aqueon but the 40 breeder is no longer $1 per gallon, but like reef keeperz said 50%

Correct..
Its like $55 on sale so not far off from the $40.. Close enough and still a good price..
Quality of the current brand is just fine.. glass plenty thick..

welcome back to the hobby, im in the same boat as far as getting back into it. the 40g breeder seems like a good way to go
