TTM question

I use TTM for all my fish.
I just bought a piece of rock with large colony of green button polyp.
How do I handle the risk of some ich cysts in the rock?

have to keep that rock in a separate tank for 72 days, unless you know for sure the coral came from a tank without fish, or from a person whos tank is ichless

that's depressing.
do i need a special lighting for the QT as well? Its hard to imagine that a coral would not be negatively affected by reg fluorescent light for 72 days.

Yes for Corals all there requirements are still the same. I personally don't go though the trouble of qt corals. Just dip them for 10 mins and put them in tank But yes this way isn't 100 percent affective in preventing disease and pest
