I've added peppermint shrimp to the tank. I still see aptasia, yet I haven't seeing a single shrimp. Must have been eaten by the aptasia.

Hi,

chaozie one year

vpham24 I also have them, they only leave at night, they donÃ"šÃ‚´t show any interest for the aptasia; the best is the Berghia verrucicornis they are specialized feeders of aptasia, but the peppermint shrimp would eat them.

The bigger one's I gave an injection with plain household vinegar, the smaller one's have been taken care of by three L. wurdemanni - no aiptasia since then.

That's pretty cool reproduction.

I've heard you can kill aptasia with kalkwasser too, has anyone try it yet?

I would use paste to kill the aptasia, as a fish/shrimp IMO might just as well eat the solitary Tubastrea. Just my opinion, but keep it in mind.

Do you know how/when the Tubastrea reproduced?
Great pictures, that's quite a nice plague to have :)
