I just got a tube anemone yesterday and this morning i found the actual tube empty and the anemone in the back of the tank.

What will happen to the anemone without its tube?

Thank you!

No, most available tube anemones are mud/silt dwellers.

They will construct a new tube if presented with the right environment.

Does it eat mysis, brine, etc., that floats by?

I would get a pvc pipe 2x as wide as the anemone's column, cap it, fill it halfway with fine sand, place the anemone, then fill in another 3rd of the way with sand. Place the tube mouth up, medium to low flow, no need for lighting.

fwiw: I have not had an anemone outside it's mucous tube since the 80's so I don't have much recent experience with the condition.

The creature in the photo is a feather duster, which is a tube worm. They will leave thier tube if unhappy and will make a new tube some where else.
