tube anemone question

i got a tube anomone about 2 months ago, we buried him in the sand, but he doesnt like to be completely buried, his color is still vibrant, and he eats fine. but, the past 2 days his outer tube seems to be sloughing off. the tube near his tentacles looks healthy, until halfway down his tube. do these anemones "molt" occasionally. I have looked everywhere for the answer, but i can not get thisnfo. PLEASE HELP

they want water flow, if they are in the area they cant get good flow they usually try to move out of the "old skin" and "move" to else where. as long as the body dont seem have any damage. i will relocate it somewhere else.
here's couple of mine, i got an outlet pointing right at them.
