Tube worm on Candy

The Head is not showing on this pic but should I be concerned about this worm irritating my new candy?
What can I do to move the worm without killing it?????

not much to do other than killing it. IMO the tube of the snail is stronger than the one of the candy cane so you may end up breaking the candy rather than detaching the snail tube.

I am refering to vermetid snail. If what you have instead is a feather duster worm (soft tube) then use an X-acto knife to try tdetaching the tube without ripping it.

I agree with these sentiments.

FWIW I've had vermetid snails in and amongst my candy canes (along with everywhere else for that matter). I've found that a drop of super glue gel into the opening does the trick quite nicely. Manual removal is a pita as the shells are so incredibly strong. I sliced my thumb open a few weeks ago trying to snap one off of a pice of LR.

The candy look healthy so the worm hasn't bothered it so far. I'd just leave it be.
