For the longest time I have had 3 (what look like) tube worms on a piece or rock on the right side of my aquarium. The look like a cocoon, orange in color, with two antennae coming out the entrance. They have never worried me because they didn't seem to be causing any harm.
Now, on the left side of my tank, I have one appear on the side of my clam and the clams health seems to be declining. It is not quite as orange as the others, but a little longer and aimed straight up. I don't see anything but the antennaes.
Unfortunately my camera is having problems so I don't have any pics, but hopefully soon.
Anyone possibly know what I am talking about? The one on the clam really worries me.
