Tubes on Substrate

I have tubes on my substrate that is made out of the substraigt itself.

The one that I can look into looks like there is an amphipod or something living in it. i thought maybe a worm created the tube but, what is in there shure doen't look like a worm to me.

Any thoughts?

I know this will be better with pics and I will post them later tonight.

Thanks for the link to the article. I was under the impression that all tube based worms created calcerous tubes. After reading it seems that some actually 'glue' together the grains of substrate. I guess I will keep an eye on the tube and see what emerges
