Tubs Blues and mh lighting

In the past when I bought blues zoanthids, they usually faded to a grey color when I placed them in direct mh light.
Where do you people that have Tubs Blues keep them?

I've had them in a 12g nano with 48watts, light bulbs went bad and I've placed them at the top near 250W mh in a 37g. They are fine in both and haven't faded. You an always acclimate it, starting at the bottom of the tank if you're worried.

IMO Tubs are one of the few blues that remain blue under any lighting.Ive got some blues that will turn to gray in the same light.

Mine are 12-15 inches under 150w 10k MH and actinic PC. I'm hoping to change to 14k soon as the 10k's are getting some age on them.

Hello all:

My Tub Blue and Armor of God are under 250W MH. They are both look great and multiply like crazy. However, my armageddon multiplied alot but the color was not as intense as I got it originally.

have you tried T5's by chance just to see what you get in color changes if any, good, bad, what? i know i was so pleasently surprised to see the changes from MH's to T5's.

more brillant in my opinion. i run a 8lamp 4aquablue and 4aquablue+
and will occasionally add in 2-6500k and 2-super actinic taking two away from the above 4 when i add a new amount of zoo's or rics from the prop tank as it is only a 150watt DE MH 14K.

i run 2-175 watt bulb in my 65gal and i put the tub blue half way up the tank and they love the light and has grown 5 polyp in a time frame of a month i started with one polyp and now have 6 and the color are still bright neon blue.
