Recently I started my reef tank and begin to start use these mame overflows. One of the mame overflow is perfectly fine. It start siphon automatically and dead silent. I am having lots of trouble with the other one. It keeps breaking siphon itself. I had installed ball valves on the outlet tubing to regulate the right flow. I believe the flow is correct because I can see the venturi effect to have outlet tubing suck out the air from the inlet tubing then siphon started. Also water level difference has been maintained as described in the manual. Any idea why the siphon keeps on breaking? Following is the video, you can see the bubbles keep on coming to the drain hose then siphon breaks. In the video, the siphon automatically resume, but after a couple of hour, it will finally break the siphon and never resume. Thank you.
