tunze 1074/2 outlet

Hey roger/ guys anyone out there using a tunze outlet I am looking to start a 30 gal cube
and wanted some more info

also roger when using a 1076/2 how far from the top of the aquarium does the hole in the glass need to be placed

I would need to do some research on the 1076/2 I don't stock them and I have never used one. The 1074/2 I have used, it is very quiet and easy to use. The cons are it doesn't have a built in adjustment, most US made ones have screws to adjust the positioning. The Tunze unit is adjusted by using shims of styrofoam. The only other draw back is it can only handle about 300 gph.

No, and I tore it down recently since my new tank uses the 1077. Any of our dealers can get one for you, I have them in stock. I think only Rick's Reef in New Orleans actually stocks them.

how do you like the 1077 was it pretty eazy to use set up any draw backs???

The main problem is having a hole big enough for the big European bulkheads. It requires like 2.25" hole IIRC. My tank came ready to use it so it was very easy to install.
